Julie Rousey, RA, AIA, LEED AP BD+C
Architect, project manager, designer, and researcher with a career spanning complex institutional work, adaptive reuse, hospitality, residential design, interiors, and original concepts.
Julie has practiced architecture since 2004, working across medical, civic, hospitality, military, higher education, industrial, laboratory, and residential projects.
Her career includes current project-management work at Jacobs, an earlier independent practice through J. Rousey Architecture, and roles with LPAS Architecture + Design, URS Corporation, Rocio Romero, and Tao Lee Architects.
Across that range, a consistent interest emerges: understanding what already exists, what people actually need, and what a place could become next. That interest extends from historic restoration and interior renovation to speculative research in hospitality and humanitarian design.
Julie earned a Master of Architecture from Tulane University and a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Southeast Missouri State University. She is a registered architect in California and Missouri, NCARB Certified, an AIA member, and a LEED AP BD+C.
